Get Started

1. I just purchased the template. What do I do first?

Great — welcome to iXO Care! Here is what to do right away:

  1. Check your Etsy email — you will have received a PDF with your template link and setup instructions.
  2. Sign in to Notion or create your free account.
  3. Open the PDF and click the “Caregiver Planner” button inside. The planner will open in a new browser window (not Notion yet). It may initially appear in Dark Mode.
  4. Click “Duplicate” icon (looks like two overlapping squares) in the top-right corner of the planner.
  5. Select your workspace from the pop-up and then click “Add to Private.”
  6. The template will be saved to your Notion workspace. It should open in your preferred color theme.  See below if you need help changing color.
  7. Start with the Getting Started page by clicking on the instruction link on the top of the Home Dashboard inside your planner – it guides you through a quick tour and setup tips.

Important: Duplicate the template as soon as possible after purchase. Your link does not expire, but saving your own copy protects you from any future access issues.

2. Do I need a paid Notion account?

No. The iXO Care Caregiver Planner template is fully compatible with Notion’s free plan. You do not need a paid subscription to use this template.

3. I don’t have a Notion account. How do I create one?

Visit notion.so and click “Get Notion free.” You can sign up with your email address or connect a Google account. The entire process takes about two minutes. Once your account is set up, return to your template link and duplicate it into your new workspace.

4. Where is the template link?

Your template link is included in the PDF you received after purchase via Etsy. Check your Etsy account under Purchases, or look for the confirmation email from Etsy in your inbox. If you cannot locate your PDF, contact us at support@ixocare.com with your Etsy order number.

Accessing the Template on Your Device

5. Can I use this template on a desktop computer?

Yes. Notion works on any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) at notion.so. No download is required. You can also download the Notion desktop app for Mac or Windows at notion.so/desktop.

6. Can I use this template on my iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. Download the free Notion app from the Apple App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). Sign in with your Notion account and your duplicated template will appear in your workspace automatically.

7. Can I use this template on an iPad or Android tablet?

Yes. The Notion app is available for iPad through the Apple App Store and works on Android tablets through the Google Play Store. For the best experience on a tablet, we recommend using the app rather than a mobile browser.

8. Can I share the template with my family members?

Yes — with your immediate family members who are directly involved in the caregiving situation. You can share your Notion workspace or individual pages with them by adding their email address as a guest inside Notion.

Using the Template

9. My template opened in DARK theme, how do I make it LIGHT?

This template was designed for Light mode but can be used in Dark mode as well. However, if you want to switch to Light mode, here’s how to switch:

  • Desktop/Web: Click your name in the top-left sidebar → SettingsAppearance → select Light
  • Mobile (iOS/Android): Tap the logo at the top left → Settings → scroll to Preferences → select Light

10. The template looks different from the listing photos. Why?

This can happen for a few reasons:

  • Notion occasionally updates its interface, which can change how pages visually appear
  • Your device or screen size may display the layout differently than our listing photos
  • Some visual elements (like cover images and icons) may need to be re-applied after duplication on certain devices

The core functionality — all databases, pages, and relationships — will be intact. If something appears to be genuinely missing, contact us at support@ixocare.com.

11. I duplicated the template but some data seems missing or blank. Is that normal?

Yes — this is expected. The template comes pre-loaded with sample data to help you see how everything works together. When you duplicate it, some sample entries may appear, or the template may be partially populated depending on your Notion settings. You are meant to replace the sample data with your own caregiving information.

Start with the Getting Started page inside the template — it walks you through each section step by step.

12. How do I delete the sample data and start fresh?

Inside each database, you can select entries and delete them individually, or select all entries at once using the checkboxes on the left side of each row. The Getting Started guide inside the template includes instructions specific to each database.

13. Can I add new sections or databases to the template?

Absolutely. Once you have duplicated the template, it is yours to customize. You can add new pages, databases, properties, and sections to fit your specific caregiving situation. We recommend making a duplicate of the original first as a backup before making significant changes.

14. Something in the template isn’t working the way I expected. What should I do?

First, check this FAQ to see if your question is addressed. Then visit Notion’s own Help Center at notion.so/help for platform-specific troubleshooting. If the issue appears to be specific to the iXO Care template itself, contact us at support@ixocare.com with a description of the issue and, if possible, a screenshot.

Notion Platform Questions

15. Notion just updated and something in my template looks broken. What now?

Notion updates its platform independently of iXO Care. Most updates improve the experience and do not affect template functionality. If something appears broken after a Notion update:

  • Refresh your browser or restart the Notion app
  • Check Notion’s status page at notion.so/releases for known issues
  • Check Notion’s Help Center at notion.so/help

iXO Care LLC is not responsible for changes caused by Notion platform updates. We are not obligated to release updated template versions following Notion changes, though we may do so at our discretion. See our Terms of Service for full details.

16. Is Notion free to use?

Notion offers a generous free plan that is sufficient for using the iXO Care Caregiver Planner. Paid plans are available for additional features like unlimited file uploads and advanced collaboration, but are not required for this template.

17. Is my data private and secure in Notion?

Notion stores your data on their servers and has their own privacy and security policies. We recommend reviewing Notion’s Privacy Policy at notion.so/privacy to understand how your data is handled. iXO Care LLC does not have access to your Notion workspace or the data you enter into the template.

Orders & Purchases

18. Can I get a refund?

All sales are final. Because this is a digital product that is delivered immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds. Please review the full product description and listing photos carefully before purchasing. See our Terms of Service at ixocare.com/terms for complete details.

19. I purchased the template but never received my PDF. What do I do?

Check the following:

  • Log in to your Etsy account and go to Account > Purchases and Reviews — your digital download should be available there
  • Check your spam or junk email folder for the Etsy confirmation email
  • Make sure the email address on your Etsy account is current and correct

If you still cannot locate your PDF after checking the above, email us at support@ixocare.com with your Etsy order number and we will assist you promptly.

20. Can I use this template for my caregiving business or with my clients?

No. Your purchase grants a single-user personal license for your own caregiving use. Using this template as part of a paid service, distributing it to clients, or incorporating it into a business product is not permitted under your license.

21. Can I use this template for my caregiving business or with my clients?

No. Reselling, redistributing, or sharing this template publicly is strictly prohibited and is a violation of your license agreement and U.S. copyright law. See our Terms of Service at ixocare.com/terms for the full license terms.
